I had to ask my brother who had it longer than me to show me how to use it. I learned how to work everything and add friends. The only friends you would have were the ones from high school or college.

With twitter I had to make one last semester for a class. I was so confused and didn’t understand it at all. My prof even told us that it was basically facebook updates. I had no idea how much more you could do with it until Prof Teston showed us.

I pick facebook because I am more used to it, if I get the hang out twitter who knows maybe I will use it more.

Technology literate

When I hear technology and literate I think about the computer. But In Moores article I realized its a lot more than just a computer. It is everything around us. Everything is technology and would almost impossible to function without it. All of use technology everyday in our lives but we just do it, we dont think how does this work? Like in the article about the stove, when you cook you know how to set the settings and how long to cook it but do you dont understand how the heat is getting to the food and how the stove stores all the heat. Or even emailing someone. Many people have no idea what happens after they hit the send button. Some how it magically gets there.

As we get older we loss the sense of wonder. Have you ever been around a 3 or 4 yr old and you tell them something and then keep asking why or how. They are so eager to learn and understand. How come we don’t say why or how? We get the basic gist of it and move on. We feel like its unnessary to understand. We know when you hit the send button it will get to where its supposed to be with no questions asked.

Moore is saying we have to be the 3 or 4yr old again and start asking how and why to understand the technology around us.

In a nut shell

My name is Nicole Patterson. I transferred last semester from GCC where I got my associates degree in Education. I will hopefully be in the Education program here in the fall. I live right off campus in Beau with my two friends from high school. Even though I am from Washington twp and live 5 min away. I just wanted to get the college experience. Its a lot different living on your own rather than with your parents.

I work at the Goddard school in wash. twp for 2 years now. I love little kids. My family is huge and I love them so much. My dad is one of 15. Yes I know 15. So i have a million cousins. Most people are in shock when I tell them on my dads side of the family I have over 75 1st and 2nd cousins. This is normal to me. haha. My Mom is one of 5. So with both sides of the family I have over 100 cousins. Most of them are in the New Jersey/Philly area.

I just got done reading for the second time my new favorite book The Last Lecture By Randy Pausch. Its a really easy quick read book. Everyone should check it out.
